Owned by Steph & Eric Bridge who have a combined 50 years experience of teaching watersports in Exmouth, Edge Watersports provides top quality tuition, sales and knowledge from their centre on Exmouth Seafront. The story…
Eric & Steph first began their watersports business in Exmouth with ‘Spinnakers’. This was an evolving dinghy sailing school which was a huge part of their growing family lives. The site was taken over for development at the same time as kitesurfing getting popular so it became apparent that teaching Kitesurfing would also be a great lifestyle choice!!!
We never had to repair a dinghy again! Edge was born at the ‘Edge’ of the duck pond in 2003 where we ran the shop & centre before getting evicted once more to make way for a Pub. We re-established the business at Exmouth Harbour while always looking for a site closer to where all the magic happened, Exmouth Seafront. This dream came true in 2020…
The Watersports centre (opened October 2020) it is a testament to both Steph, Eric & many other’s hard work as well as what Exmouth has become for Watersports. A worldwide destination for kitesurfing, wingsurfing, windsurfing, Wingfoiling & paddleboarding. Exmouth offers a huge variety of conditions at all states of tide for all pillars of the pyramid. International athletes, members of the British Sailing Team for kitesurfing & world champions train and use the waters to keep them at the top of their sport. The 'Edge Experience' is sure to leave you wanting more so come along and see us at Sideshore where we can share some energy that the ‘Edge’ way brings.
Steph & Eric Bridge
Steph, Watersports manager & coach is a 5 x Kite Race world champion, 2014 world sailing Rolex Sailor of the year Nominee, holds multiple World records and podium finishes.
Managing Director, Eric (Husband) & business partner for 30 years is the powerhouse behind all operations. As passionate as all others to ensure he gets his daily water fix, Eric controls all aspects of the shoreside operations.
Our family of 3 boys which all kite surf, compete and get to to travel the world doing this are now a brand in themselves; ‘Team-Bridge’.

Meet the Team
Guy Bridge
Guy has grown up with watersports in his blood and is rarely far from the water. Sure to have multiple wet wetsuits before 10am! An accomplished hydrofoil racer, kitesurfer and wingfoiler, Guy loves pushing the limits and is always keen to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others.
Tom Bridge
Tom has been kitesurfing since he was seven and has competed at the highest level, becoming a multiple European and World Youth Champion before making his mark in the men's freestyle scene. Tom has been a RedBull athlete for decade and is sure to put on a show when the conditions aline. Now a familiar face at Edge, Tom brings a huge amount of experience, creativity and energy to the team.
Emma Bridge
Emma is happiest when she's in or around the sea. Whether it's surfing, kitesurfing, wingfoiling or heading out on a coasteer, she loves chasing good conditions and making the most of whatever the ocean has to offer. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she's always up for the next adventure.
Rachael Hooper
Rachael is one of our kitesurf and wingfoil coaches and brings bags of energy to every session. A former British Freestyle Kitesurfing champion, she enjoys everything from freestyle and big air to kitefoiling, wingfoiling, parawinging and surfing. Most importantly, she loves helping others progress and get the most out of their time on the water.
Katie Blundell
Katie's heart is in the mountains. She is an ex pro snowboarder, British Champion Slopestyle, 1st BigAir, Australian Perisher, 1st Slopestyle Night Series....the list goes on! She loves all things retail and jumping in the sea at any given opportunity!
Olly + Meg
Olly is the oldest of three brothers and an incredible all round waterman. Olly was the European Junior Freestyle Champion in 2010, Race Youth World Champion in 2012 & 2013. Olly is 2013, 2014 & 2015 Men’s European Race Champion. In 2016 Olly took a number of silver medal positions in the World Championships, Europeans, Gold Cup, hydrofoil Pro Tour & ended the season in Melbourne at the Sailing World Cup Final with a Gold. Not directly linked to Edge Watersports anymore as he started his own venture making coffees for the local legends!
Meg, she's the powerhouse behind the famous cafe 'Hangtime' born in 2020. When she's not frothing milk she can be found with the biggest smile on her face, on or in the water having the most fun.
Our neighbours really do make the best coffee in town so be sure to grab one when you're next visiting!
