Blade Propeller Hub – Enhanced Low-End Thrust for Foil Drive Assist PLUS
Need extra torque to get out of the water more easily? The Blade Propeller Hub is an optional upgrade for Foil Drive Assist PLUS units, delivering a powerful boost for riders pushing the limits of rider weight, board size, and foil size.
Performance Benefits of the Three-Blade Propeller System
Compared to the standard two-blade system, the three-blade propeller provides:
- Increased Low-End Thrust – The extra blade pushes more water for better acceleration.
- More Torque at Lower RPMs – Reduces propeller cavitation under high loads.
- Better Surface Driving – More effective propulsion when the prop breaches the surface.
- Smoother & Quieter Ride – Lower RPM operation reduces noise and vibration.
Ideal for riders who need more low-end torque, whether due to low-volume boards, smaller or high-aspect foils, or heavier body weight.
Important Usage Notes
- Not Recommended for Prolonged Full-Throttle Efoiling – The three-blade prop draws more power, draining the battery faster and potentially triggering thermal overload protection.
- Avoid Sustained Use Above 90% Throttle – Unlike the two-blade prop that unloads at full speed, the three-blade prop demands more watts. Allow the ESC to cool in the water periodically.
- Compatibility – Not compatible with Foil Drive Assist (Gen 1). The higher RPM of the Assist PLUS or Gen 2 is required for optimal performance.
Upgrade to the Blade Propeller Hub for an extra edge in thrust, torque, and stability, ensuring smoother and more efficient foiling.
